Community Food Gardener
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced food gardener to develop and maintain our half acre food growing training area for our exciting community food growing project in Carshalton.
Experience of growing a range of fruit and vegetables and the ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages are essential.
The salary is £7,800 gross per annum - based on 15hrs per week at £10 per hour gross and there is the potential for additional summer work on an ad hoc basis.

Sessional Tutors
We are also seeking to increase our pool of sessional workers to deliver training and educational activities on food growing or healthy eating, and other environmental issues in a variety of community settings for children or adults. The rate for this work is £15 per hour gross
All salaried posts end at the end of the project which is the end of Sept 2012

Volunteering
Volunteering to help people with disabilities
We are looking for people to help at our cycling sessions for people with disabilities and older people at Sutton Arena on Wednesdays 10am – 12.30pm and Thursday mornings 10am – 1pm
Inclusive Cycling sessions Admin Assistant – We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help run the registration desk to sign in attendees, taking the session fees, writing receipts, making sure attendees are aware of the track rules and encouraging people to enjoy cycling. You don't need to be able to cycle or know about bikes to help with this!
Gear-Up Cycle Assistant - Taking cycles out of the store and returning them after the sessions. All we ask that is you are enthusiastic, reliable, able to push/ride cycles and able to arrive at 10am as sessions need to start promptly. All abilities are welcome to help with this task.
We can cover reasonable expenses and if you are able to help, we will be happy for you to enjoy cycling at the session for free, if you would like to.
