We are crowd funding to replace worn-out adapted bikes at our inclusive cycling project. Specialised cycles for people with disabilities are expensive so we are aiming to raise £10,564. Sport England have pledged to fund half this but ONLY if we can crowd fund the other half. All your donations will go toward new accessible cycles, but if we raise £5,282 by crowdfunding, your donation will be double by Sport England !! Please help and please share !! 😊 Thank you

FUN, FRIENDSHIP and FITNESS
Carshalton-based Madder Mill Molly offers all three benefits when you join their mixed-gender team of Morris dancers and musicians. No special kit is needed for practice, but the team has its own distinctive dress style. Formed as recently as 2020, their reputation has grown quickly and they now perform at local pubs, folk festivals and other events throughout the South-East and further afield.
New members are always welcome and practice evenings are free to attend - there’s no obligation to take part on your first visit but when you’re ready to try they’ll show you the ropes.
They meet at EcoLocal, The Garden Hall, close to Honeywood Museum, Carshalton, each Wednesday from 7-9pm, so come along and meet them, have fun and make new friends.

🌿😉 “Hedges Getting a Bit Bushy? A Quick Trim Now Will Keep Them in Line All Winter”
Carshalton EcoFair
Why Late November & December Are a Great Time for Hedge Trimming ✂️🌿

If you’ve been thinking about getting your hedges tidied up, the next few weeks are actually one of the best times to do it.

🕊 Wildlife-friendly timing
The bird-nesting season is long finished, so trimming now means you can shape your hedges without disturbing wildlife.

🌱 Healthier hedges next spring
A good winter trim helps keep hedges compact, encourages fresh new growth in spring, and can prevent them becoming woody or overgrown.

🍃 Less stress on plants
Most shrubs are dormant at this time of year, so pruning causes less shock and helps hedges maintain a strong structure.

🏡 Improve light and tidy your space
A winter cut lets more light into your garden during the darker months and helps keep paths and driveways clear and safe.

If you'd like help with winter hedge trimming, our friendly local team can help.

We work across Carshalton, Sutton and nearby areas, offering reliable gardening support — email us at services@ecolocal.org.uk to book a free intial visit! 🌿✨
