The Music Café – where you may find it difficult to tear yourself away…
On Bank Holiday Monday 31 August, from 10.30am–8pm, the EcoFair fills Carshalton Park with music, food, entertainment and more than 120 stalls. And somewhere amongst all that excitement, a rather tempting little rendezvous awaits. Find out more at

Welcome to the Music Café.
Perhaps it will be the sound that draws you in first: acoustic guitars, voices and melodies carrying through the air, with a fabulous programme wandering seductively through folk, country, bluegrass, Americana and original songwriting.
Or perhaps your downfall will be cake.
Because while the musicians are doing their best to capture your heart, the WI will be waiting with their wonderful homemade cakes, accompanied by a proper cup of tea or coffee. Frankly, resistance seems unnecessarily heroic.
Find yourself a seat. Choose your cake. Let the music begin.
You might promise yourself you'll stay for just one act. Then another performer takes the stage. Someone suggests another cup of tea. That second slice of cake starts looking dangerously attractive...
And suddenly you realise you've fallen for the Music Café completely.
There's even a little EcoFair magic quietly powering the romance: the stage runs on one of EcoLocal's mobile solar power stations.
Acoustic music. Homemade cake. Tea and coffee. A summer Bank Holiday.
