Gardening can be a wonderfully satisfying and therapeutic activity for anyone, regardless of age and ability. There’s always lots to do! We’d be delighted to see you down at the Community Food Growing Project. All levels of experience are welcome.
Our community food growing project provides a peaceful environment where you can get involved in a healthy activity and meet other people. There are a range of tasks to suit everybody from sowing seeds, weeding, strimming, watering, making compost and more. No experience is necessary.
Mondays 10.30am – 12.30pm
Fridays 10.30am – 12.30pm
Saturdays 9.30am – 11.30am
The Monday and Friday sessions are suitable for people of all abilities to join in and you are welcome whether you are an experienced gardener or a total beginner. If you would like to take part on Monday’s and Friday’s as a part of a larger group, please email food@ecolocal.org.uk to find out if there is space available.
Saturdays are for more independent gardeners or those who can help with DIY type repairs
Bank Holiday closures – The project is NOT open on Bank holidays.
Everybody who takes part has the opportunity to take fresh veg home with them, and in the summer, any surplus is donated to the Sutton Women’s Centre food bank. We are open in rain and sun, and only closed if it snows. Please email food@ecolocal.org.uk, for more information.
