Carshalton Frost Fair 2024

Carshalton Frost Fair will be going ahead on Saturday 7th December 2024 from 1pm till 6pm - we have made some adaptions for the weather.  Sited in the beautiful setting of Carshalton Ponds this is a traditional winter event with entertainment and activities for all of the family.  There will be lots on at this year's Frost Fair - so put the date in your diary and invite family and friends.

There is no entrance fee to the main event, but EcoLocal welcomes donations towards the cost of running the event, which we put on as volunteers.  We are also collecting for our eco-wellbeing projects which make a huge difference to people's physical and mental health locally, so if you can, please help.

OUTDOORS:

On the Saturday of the event, as it gets darker, the area is lit with twinkling fairy lights which help create a magical atmosphere.  We have two live entertainment / demonstration areas with carol singing, dance, choirs, folk & pop bands.

Outside Honeywood Museum and in the nearby Memorial Gardens and Festival Walk there will be stalls from the Wallington Farmers Market and the Eco-Fair.  They bring a varied range of tasty treats and wonderful locally made Christmas gift ideas such as glassware, wooden craft, local art and more.  As well as vegetarian catering there will be a tasty hog roast, seasonal food and a bar with warming drinks including mulled wine and hot cider.  Charity stalls such as Carshalton Lavender and Fairtrade Sutton will also be there.

The Friends of the Ecology Centre bring their Winter Wonderland Trail suitable for families with young children running from 1pm-4pm. Last entry 3.30pm: Cost: £5 per child over 3 yrs and £1 per child aged 2-3yrs. Includes a gift per child.  Drop in, no booking required.  No dogs.  Access through Ecology Centre grounds, entrance via Old Rectory off Festival Walk then up by the Garden Hall.  And you'll have to pass their soup stall on route 🙂
