Learn how to propagate fruit trees by bud-grafting, at this one day workshop led by our RHS qualified and experienced fruit grower and tutor.
Learn the technical theory behind budding to propagate onto a variety of rootstock to produce upright, cordon, espalier and step-over trees.
The workshop includes hands-on sessions to gain practical skills in bud-grafting and you’ll be able to see examples of previously bud grafted heritage variety cordons in our Victorian walled garden.
You’ll take home your own bud grafted rootstock as well as detailed illustrated instruction sheets.
Bring secateurs and pruning knives if you have them.
Held at: Ecolocal, The Lodge, Honeywood walk, Carshalton SM5 3NX. Within the grounds of Carshalton Ecology Centre, by the ponds.
