SOGG holds meetings at 7.30pm (doors open at 7.15pm) on the last Friday of each month (except July, August and December) at Milton Hall, Cooper Crescent, Carshalton. Surrey SM5 2DL.

Summer Talks 2019

April 26th – Riverhill Himalayan Gardens – Sarah Rogers will give a talk about the restoration
work that has been undertaken at Riverhill gardens since she and Ed took it on 9 years ago.

May 31st – Social Orchards – We will hear how this project’s transforming unused and neglected areas around Sutton to grow fruit and nuts and benefit the local community.

June 28th – Herbal Heritage: folklore and uses of our native plants – Botanist and author Roy Vickery, formerly of the Natural History Museum is creating an archive of plant-lore, seeking people’s memories of plant names, uses, tales, legends. As well as sharing his findings with us, Roy would be delighted to hear about your stories and uses of native plants/weeds. You could also bring in your favourite/enemy no.1 weed!

Nov 29th – Ringden Farm

SOGG will also be at Carshalton Environmental Fair – Monday 26th August 2019 – Plants, produce, and other gardening items will be on sale at their stall.
