Permaculture is a lifestyle movement that can be applied to all aspects of our lives. It is a combination of design methods and philosophies, that has developed over time and continues to develop, with the aim of providing a more sustainable way of living. Going beyond organic gardening methods, permaculture encourages us to consider how the different systems in nature fit together and how we can mimic those systems to benefit ourselves and the wider ecosystem.
This one-day workshop will give you an overview of some permaculture principles that apply specifically to gardening and producing home-grown food. The workshop will cover:
– caring for our soil,
– improving diversity,
– water and energy use, and
– designing a sustainable system.
Combining theory with practical tips and techniques, this workshop will help you get started on your new and exciting permaculture journey.
