Carshalton Frost Fair

In 2017 we are taking a break from running the Carshalton Frost Fair. We are just taking a year out from planning and delivering this big and time demanding event, and fully plan to bring the event back in 2018. If you are interested in becoming a stall holder at the Carshalton Frost Fair in 2018, please fill in our enquiry form here

However, this year on the 2nd December, you can still visit Santa in his grotto at Honeywood Museum from 12-5pm, where there will be Christmas Magic Shows, children’s activities and even Father Christmas!

You will also find the Winter Wonderland Trail at the Ecology Centre from 1pm-4pm, Suitable for families with young children - Someone's stolen Santa's sack … how are we going to get it back? Cost: £4 per child. Drop in, no booking required.

Friends of Sutton Ecology Centre Christmas Fair will be from 1pm-5pm. Hand-crafted gifts, hot drinks and a collection of delicious homemade soups & cakes, plus woodland storytelling - Come and hear the colourful tale of the Little Wolf and the Old Crocodile, in our special storytelling tent. Cost: £7 per child. Booking essential

We hope you enjoy a wonderful Carshalton Christmas!

You could also visit our Christmas special Wallington Farmers’ Market 9am – 1pm on Saturday 9th December outside the Old Town Hall. We’ll have craft stalls with great gift ideas, Christmas wreaths and all the usual high quality locally produce; wine, cheese, free range poultry, sausages and meat, ginger products, cakes, Brussel sprouts and all the festive fayre including - of course – the best handmade mince pies! We hope to get local choirs along to the market too for a festive feel.

The Frost Fair was last held on the first Saturday in December in 2016. The event ran from 1-6pm. The next Frost Fair will be held on the first Saturday in December 2018.

The Frost Fair is sited in the beautiful setting next to Carshalton Ponds and is a traditional winter event with activities for all of the family. As it gets darker, the area is lit with twinkling fairy lights which all helps create a magical atmosphere.

Outside Honeywood Museum and in the nearby Memorial Gardens and Festival Walk stalls from the Wallington Farmers Market, offer a varied range of tasty treats as well as a variety of local craft stalls selling wonderful gift ideas such as glassware, pottery, woodcraft and more. There is a tasty hog roast & seasonal food with bar & warming drinks. See stalls listing below.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the event on the day. If you would like to help, please read more about the roles here
